At the start of this year, I shared that I will be donating 100% of the benefits I receive from referrals in 2026.

Here’s a brief update to close this loop as I just made the donation.

If you are reading this, thank you for using my referral. Yes, even those who created a StocksCafe account but didn’t subscribe to the services eventually — while I didn’t get any monetary gain, I appreciate that you clicked on the link.

In any case, I rounded up the figure and donated S$500 to A Very Special Voice 2026 – the the signature fundraising event of Autism Resource Centre (Singapore).

What about the rest of the year?

I don’t think I will be getting more referrals, primarily due to unfavourable referral conditions.

Keppel Electric: Change of Referral System

Keppel Electric has changed its referral system. Whereas in the past you could stack the referral on top of their new sign-up promotional bonus, it can’t be done now.

While using my referral link still gives you a slightly better rate (S$0.293/kWh vs S$0.298/kWh), the additional S$25 referral bonus pales in comparison to their S$125 bill rebate for new customers.

It really doesn’t make sense to sign up using my referral link, unless your household electricity consumption averages over 850 kWh per month on a 2-year plan.

StocksCafe: Collaboration with Online Brokerages

StocksCafe periodically collaborates with online brokerages such as Longbridge, Moomoo, and Tiger Brokers to offer free two- to three-year subscriptions.

A quick check shows that the promotion is still ongoing for Longbridge and Moomoo till the end of this year. If you are interested, you can find out more here.

Needless to say, why pay when you can get it for free — especially on top of the freebies provided by the brokerages?
